Hardin County Elementary students (K-5) who are wondering whose classroom they will be in during the 2017-2018 school year, can find out today after 4:00 p.m. The secretaries will be posting the lists on the front glass doors of the school. They can be viewed even if the doors are locked. School begins with a full day of attendance on Friday, August 11.

The Superintendent will be meeting with the secretaries Friday, July 28, about registration, so stay posted to the Hardin County Independent’s page for more information. The Hardin County Independent staff is on vacation beginning Friday, July 28 – Friday, August 4. There will be no paper August 3. Kindergarteners to start school with a unique schedule

On Friday, August 11, 2017 kindergarten teachers will hold a Parent Meeting. No students will attend the parent meeting.
On Monday, August 14; Tuesday, August 15; and Wednesday, August 16, ONLY students with last names beginning with A-L in Mr. Kizziah’s class will attend. On those same dates, ONLY students in Ms. Mosby’s class with last names beginning with A-P will attend also.
On Thursday, August 17; Friday, August 18; and Tuesday, August 22 (No school, Monday August 21), ONLY students with last names beginning with M – Z in Mr. Kizziah’s class will attend. On those same dates, ONLY students in Ms. Mosby’s class with last names beginning with Q-Z will attend also.
On the 8th day of school, Wednesday, August 23, all students will attend and along with each day after.

Supplies have to be replenished throughout the year because the school doesn’t furnish extra.
Remember to check the school dress code when purchasing school clothes. It is the same as last year, but we have been informed it will be followed closely this year.
They can have a trapper keeper or zip up binder or a 1 1/2 – 2 in. 3 ring binder.
