On February 15, John Clifford King, 90, passed away quietly and peacefully in his sleep in Colorado Springs, Colorado next to his wife of over 70 years. John was born November 28, 1926 to Bill and Mary King, formerly of Rosiclare. John was the youngest of four children born to Bill and Mary, all which preceded him in death; Jay, Melvin, and Frances (Sohosky). He was a graduate of Rosiclare High School, where he met the love of his life, Gerry Rose, daughter of Tom and Vivian Rose.
John loved all things mechanical, woodworking, camping, writing, living near the mountains and most importantly, attending the Church of Christ where he was actively involved until his health declined to the point he could no longer attend.
He is survived by his wife Gerry, three children; David (Peggy), Rosemary Ellen (Fred), and Teresa (Rob), six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service was held in Colorado Springs at the Mountainview Church of Christ on March 4, 2017.
