Joanna Bishop, 86, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:50 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Coulterville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Coulterville.
Joanna had been a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. Joanna was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was born May 25, 1930 at Cave-In-Rock, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Lydia (Johnson) Frailey.
She married Vollie Bishop and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by one son – Joseph Ray Angleton and Donna Reynolds of Du Quoin, two grandchildren – Ron Angleton and wife Paige and Rhonda Tilley; and husband Mike, six great-grandchildren, Alex Angleton, Austin Angleton, Miles Tilley, Parker Tilley, Trent Brewer, and Parker Brewer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three step-sons, Vollie Bishop, Jr., Larry Bishop and Paul Bishop; three sisters, Georgia Moore, Thelma Douglas, and Etta Jones; and three brothers, Ralph Frailey, Kenneth Frailey, and Gregory Frailey.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Cave Hill Cemetery at Cave-In-Rock, IL with Rev. Larry Lewis officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Burial will be in the Cave Hill Cemetery at Cave-In-Rock, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
