Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away on October 29th, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. Alma was 97. Alma grew up in Rosicare, attended grade school and high school.
She was predeceased from her husband of 61 years, Virgil; her parents, Nicholas and Louise Humm; her sister Mildred Herrman and brother Raphael Humm; her daughter Pat LePage (Jesse Whitaker); grandson Jim (Carrie); three great-grandchildren, Justin, Cory, Jordan; and her nieces and nephews.
Alma and Virgil worked together in their masonry and stone business. She and Virgil were truly partners in their success. Alma was devoted to her family. Her caring and gracious nature was recognized by all who knew her.
She was a member of St. Agnes and St. Thomas Sodality and enjoyed her affiliation with the Red Hats. She volunteered each week making sandwiches for the poor, with the “Peanut Butter and Jelly Brigade”. She and Virgil volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul.
Alma always had a good word to say about everyone. She was a true and faithful friend to all who knew her.
Her funeral mass was celebrated at, Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Church. Alma leaves us with happy memories and an afterglow of the wonderful woman she was.
