Elmer Ralph, Jr., age 86, of Elizabethtown, IL passed away on July 5, 2016 in Rosiclare, IL.
He was born on September 30, 1929 to Elmer and Mary Elizabeth (Frailey) Ralph on Whoopie Cat Mountain, Hardin County, Illinois. Elmer was married to Shirley A. Ralph, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2015. He was retired from Teamster Union 179 in Joliet. He was a 50+ year member of Rosiclare Masonic Lodge 1144 AF & AM. He was an avid outdoorsman, mechanic, welder, and loved photography. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and lived life to the fullest.
Elmer is survived by son, Michael Ralph of St. Elmo, IL; step-children, Gina Morsch of Carrier Mills, IL, Lena Morsch of Carbondale, IL, and Tim Morsch of Baltimore, MD; sister, Pauline McEwin of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Destiny Ralph, Jason Ralph, Emily Ralph; special niece, Betty Eagle; host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and one special cat, Milo.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Ralph; four sisters, Alberta Holbrook, Beatrice King, Catherine Livers, Frances Walker; two brothers, Garcia Ralph, Alfred Ralph.
Masonic service were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, IL. Celebration of life immediately followed masonic services at the church. Interment was at the Rose Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
