The Hardin County School is providing a screening program for all birth to 5 year old children not yet in school, and who will not be kindergarten eligible in the fall. A screening program designed to check each preschool child’s hearing, vision, speech, and other developmental areas is being offered. This screening program is free and parents will receive immediate feedback on how their child is developing. This screening is also required for eligibility in Hardin County’s Prekindergarten program. Head Start personnel will also be present to explain their program and services.
In Hardin County, the screening will be held at Hardin County School on Monday, April 18th, and Tuesday, April 19th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The screening procedure takes about 45 minutes and appointments must be made in order to cut down on waiting time. Parents should call 287-7601 to make an appointment or to get more information.
Remember! The service is a free check of your child’s progress in the developmental areas, but appointments are needed. If you live in Hardin County call 287-7601 today to make an appointment for your preschooler.
