Carolyn Ann Birch Easley, 78, of Eddyville, KY died Monday, October 5, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Surviving are her husband, Harry Easley of Eddyville, KY; daughters, LaNell (David) Bell of Cadiz, KY, and Kaye (Rod) Burgess of Higganum, CT; one son, Gregory (Gloria) Easley Roberts; one brother, Earl Gene (Alma) Hayes of Karbers Ridge, IL; one sister, Bonnie Sue (James) Hefley of Davis, OK; seven grandchildren: Laura Ansert, Greg Roberts Jr., Brittany Roberts, A’Neial Lockhart, Jerett Bell, Beau Burgess, Seth Burgess; and nine great-grandchildren: Audrey Clark, Brice Lockhart, Anna Burgess, William Burgess, Lauren Harding, Alexis Harding, Savannah Ansert, Brooklyn Ansert and Dakota Roberts. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Earl John Hayes, and mother, Lemah Watson Hayes and one brother, William Roe Birch. Carolyn was a member of the Methodist faith and the Eastern Star. She was a cosmetologist in both Illinois and Kentucky for over fifty five years. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Crittenden County Kentucky. Anyone wishing to attend, the family will be leaving Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton, Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any memorials be made payable to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Carolyn Easley and mailed to Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition (Wounded Warriors Foundation) 128 E.
