Students, parents, teachers and other school staff took time out before school on Wednesday, September 23 to gather around the flag pole at Hardin County K-12 School and pray in recognition of an annual student led event called “See You at the Pole”. For 25 years the event has been about one simple act – prayer. “See You at the Pole” is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer before God interceding for this generation. The bible verse theme for this year’s event is: They all met together and were constantly united in prayer. –Acts 1:14.
This year Amber Winters led the group representing House of Freedom Worship Center. She is a 2015 graduate of Hardin County High School and currently a freshman at Southeastern Illinois College. Winters presented some background information about “See You at the Pole” and then asked if anyone had anything they would like to share. She then led the group in united prayer.
