Bobby R. Potts, 83, of Newburgh, IN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Newburgh, IN. He was born June 19, 1932, in Rosiclare, IL to the late Ray and Norma (Fowler) Potts. Bobby was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Alcoa for 42 years, starting in Rosiclare then transferring to the Warrick plant in 1964. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 44 years, Helen Bernice (Hobbs) Potts (1996); sisters, Ramona (Potts) Lanham, Myrna (Potts) Cowsert, Janet (Potts) Cornell and great-granddaughter, Grace Laurin Wilson (2002). Bobby is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Ann Wilson (Mike); son, Bobby Glen Potts (Marme) both of Newburgh; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Potts (Ginger) of Scipio, IN, Bill Potts (Joy) of Anchorage, AK; sisters, Melba Cullum (Jim) of Rosiclare, Michele Tincult (Bill) of Creal Springs and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
